FIMS (Foot in the Mouth Syndrome)

I recently had the pleasure of being witness to a conversation here in San Antonio, about how perfectly to take your large feet and stuff it right through your even bigger mouth.

Location: Hotel Room (Number does not matter)

Actors: Me, Sidey Guy (Lets call him S) and a certain no-nonsense P

On a surprisingly cool but as usual lazy sunday myself and S are sitting in my suite (I dont know wht hes doing with me) watching TV. Doorbell rings, and standing out is a dear friend of mine P, she comes in after a shower and a weekend trip to NYC to ask about what to do for lunch. S and P havent met.

Conversation

Me: Heyyyyy P!! How u?

P (Walks in, looks at S): doing great.

P glances at S, who has been staring at her with both his jaws dropped and god knows what else and introduces herself.

P to S: Hi, I am P, am with blah blah blah

S: Hi, I am.... (like we care), I know you, I have seen you many times on the 7th floor.

P : Hmmm...interesting, how come you seem to know about me, I dont know you at all.

S (jaws still down): Ummmmmm...uh-oh....(Gives a smile).

What you read about is a typical example of how you screw up your first meeting with a girl (whether you have a crush on her or not). It has happened on many occassions and this is the first mistake someone makes in approaching a woman. Not that if S had been more suave and said, "Nice to meet you", that P's heart would have melted like butter on a pan. S is a sidey guy anyway. The other day at a farewell dinner, I was caught saying "Big Cock" loudly accross the dinner table. Now I thought everyone was talking among themselves to pay the slightest attention to what I was telling my friend. Well I didnt mean what you think, but then in front of your boss ,it does sound like you pedal your arse for fun on weekends apart from the usual work. Like Murphy's laws which said the only time you will be caught talking something inapproriate loudly, would be in front of your boss, when suddenly for some reason as if plotted by destiny everyone stops talking just to hear the golden words from your mouth. This my friends is what i call FIMS. Experienced this anyone?
